Congressman Harris opens new office in Scotland County

LAURINBURG, NC — On Thursday, Congressman Mark Harris (NC-8) opened a new district office to serve his constituents in Scotland County and the surrounding areas.
This Laurinburg district office will cover the eastern portion of North Carolina’s Eighth Congressional District and expand Congressman Harris’ capacity to aid constituents who are having issues with federal agencies.
“For far too long, the bureaucracy in the federal government has been overlooking the needs of the people, growing more and more complacent with every passing year,” Congressman Harris said. “My team here in our district offices can help you cut through all of that red tape and make sure that you get answers from those government agencies.”
The ribbon cutting ceremony was attended by many Scotland County community leaders, including:
- Tanya Edge, County Commissioner
- Bo Frizzell, County Commissioner Vice Chair
- Tim Ivey, County Commissioner Chair
- Mitch Johnson, Chief of Police of Laurinburg
- John Lowery, Lumbee Tribal Chairman
- James T. Willis, Mayor of Laurinburg
“I look forward to continuing to be your voice in our nation's capital, and if you or a loved one is having any trouble with a federal agency, please give one of my offices a call. No issue is too big or too small and I guarantee that my team and I will see every request through to the best of our abilities,” said Congressman Harris.
